Women’s Health

WFMC values women’s health and makes every effort to serve the medical needs of all our female patients. We offer all basic and annual women’s exams, superior OB and prenatal care, family planning programs, and support services to women. We are also able to provide two different programs to our female patients who qualify.

FPEP (Family Planning Expansion Project)

WFMC offers annual exams for women, resources for family planning, including education and counseling services, and access to contraceptives through the Family Planning Expansion Project (FPEP).  To qualify, patients must live in Oregon, be a United States Citizen or permanent resident and qualify as low-income based on FPEP’s standards. For patients who qualify, FPEP offers free birth control and other health and social services.

BCCP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Program)

WFMC offers the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, which provides life-saving screenings to underserved populations in Oregon. To qualify for this program, you must:

  • Live in Oregon
  • Have a household income below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level
  • Be over 40 years of age
  • Be uninsured or underinsured

Once you qualify, you are eligible for breast and cervical cancer screenings, including mammograms, Pap/pelvic exams, etc.

*Unlike FPEP, BCCP is available to patients who are not citizens or permanent residents.
